Shoulder Impingement Treatment That Fixes the Whole Chain

You can’t lift your arm without that pinch. You can’t sleep on your side. You’ve tried rest, physio, maybe even a cortisone shot. The pain keeps coming back because nobody looked at why it started.

We assess beyond the shoulder.

We check your neck, thoracic spine, scapular mechanics, and even your wrist and elbow. Most clinics stop at the sore spot.

Advanced technology paired with targeted strengthening.

Shockwave and EMTT rapidly reduce inflammation. Then we retrain your rotator cuff and scapular muscles so the pain doesn’t return.

A long-term plan, not a quick fix.

After your pain settles, we build progressive exercises and aftercare so your shoulder stays strong and clear for good.

60-minute one-on-one assessment + treatment plan.

No pressure, no contracts.

Is This You?

If any of this sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

Pain reaching overhead, behind your back, or lifting anything away from your body

Shoulder aches at night and wakes you up when you roll onto that side

You stay active (gym, swimming, manual work) but your shoulder keeps limiting you

You’ve done physio or chiropractic before and it helped temporarily, then came back

You want real answers and non-surgical options before considering anything more invasive

The Real Problem

Why Your Shoulder Still Hurts After "Trying Everything"

Most people have several of these happening at once. That’s why we assess the whole chain, from your neck and thoracic spine to your wrist and elbow, not just the painful shoulder.

OUR APPROACH

The Unpain 3-Part Shoulder Impingement Symptoms Relief Program

INITIAL VISIT

Whole-Body Root-Cause Assessment

Full shoulder movement and strength testing, plus neck, thoracic spine, elbow, and wrist screening

Identify which root causes are driving your specific impingement pattern

Walk out with a clear written treatment plan and transparent pricing

First 2 to 3 Weeks

Pain & Inflammation Modulation

Focused shockwave therapy to break the inflammation cycle in the bursa and cuff tendons

EMTT (high-energy electromagnetic therapy) to reduce inflammatory mediators and promote tissue repair

Hands-on manual therapy to release tight capsule and surrounding muscles

Make reaching overhead and sleeping on your side tolerable, fast.

3+ Weeks and Beyond

Strength & Progressive Aftercare

Progressive rotator cuff and scapular stabilizer strengthening targeted to your weak links

Postural correction and thoracic mobility exercises

Ongoing coaching and home exercise program to maintain gains long-term

What To Expect

What Results Can I Expect?

Every case is different, but research and our clinical experience consistently show:

Noticeable pain reduction within 3 to 5 sessions. Most patients report meaningful relief after the first few combined shockwave and EMTT treatments, often within 2 to 3 weeks.

Reaching, lifting, and sleeping on your side again. Research shows significant improvements in shoulder function and disability scores by 2 to 3 months of treatment.

Most patients avoid surgery entirely. Conservative care resolves roughly 70 to 90 percent of shoulder impingement cases, especially when the underlying muscle imbalances are properly addressed.

Our promise: we will tell you honestly at the assessment if we don’t believe you’re a good candidate for this approach.

EVIDENCE

The Research Behind Our Approach

Focused shockwave therapy has been shown to significantly reduce pain and improve shoulder function in impingement patients, confirmed by a 2025 systematic review and meta-analysis.

Adding shockwave to physiotherapy produced greater intermediate-term pain relief than steroid injection plus physio, with benefits emerging by 12 weeks in a randomized controlled trial.

Electromagnetic therapy (PEMF/EMTT) has been shown to significantly improve both short-term pain and long-term shoulder function in a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.

Combining EMTT with shockwave produced significantly greater pain reduction and shoulder function scores than shockwave alone in a prospective randomized trial of 86 patients.

Exercise-based rehabilitation combined with manual therapy produces larger gains in shoulder pain and function than exercise alone, supported by multiple randomized trials.

Outcomes are group averages from clinical trials; individual results vary.

Shoulder Impingement SymptomsFAQ

Here are answers to some of the most common questions about Shoulder Impingement Symptoms.

6 results found

How effective is shockwave therapy for shoulder impingement?

Multiple studies and a 2025 meta-analysis show that focused shockwave significantly reduces shoulder pain and improves function. One trial found it outperformed steroid injections at 12 weeks when combined with physiotherapy. We review the specific evidence for your case during your initial assessment.

Can poor posture or scapula position cause shoulder impingement?

Yes. Forward-head posture and a rounded upper back change how your shoulder blade sits, which narrows the space where your rotator cuff tendons move. Scapular dyskinesis is sometimes called the “forgotten culprit” of impingement. We assess your posture and scapular control as part of every shoulder evaluation.

How many treatment sessions are typically needed?

Most patients notice significant improvement within 3 to 5 combined shockwave and EMTT sessions, which typically happen over 2 to 3 weeks. After that, we shift to manual therapy and progressive strengthening. We map out a clear timeline during your first visit.

Why does shoulder impingement keep coming back?

If the underlying muscle imbalances and scapular dysfunction aren’t corrected, the impingement cycle restarts once you return to activity. Patients who stop therapy early or skip their home exercises tend to relapse. That’s why our protocol addresses inflammation first, then rebuilds strength and coordination to prevent recurrence.

Are shockwave and EMTT safe for my shoulder?

Both are non-invasive and well-studied. Shockwave is supported by multiple systematic reviews for shoulder impingement. EMTT has a growing body of evidence with no significant adverse effects reported in trials. We review whether these therapies are appropriate for your specific situation at your assessment.

My shoulder still hurts after physio and injections. What next?

When standard physio and injections haven’t worked, it often means the inflammatory cycle hasn’t been broken or the root-cause muscle imbalances haven’t been addressed. Our combined approach (shockwave, EMTT, manual therapy, and progressive rehab) targets both. We’ll assess what’s been missed and build a plan from there.
